I’m gonna interrupt here, and point out that it’s not what it sounds like.

He giggles a lot, forgets how to sing, tries to strut and trips over his own feet.

But if you know anything about me, you’d know I need to create something memorable, and that takes time.

Well I don’t know you, but I could have guessed that from our meeting yesterday. I could help. My mom is a party planner and she always dragged me along with her.

Peter nodded. “Don’t be embarrassed. It was ignorant. I was a stupid kid who was afraid of being different. I still am kind of.” He shrugged and smiled at Luke. “Don’t worry by the way. About saying something to me. I won’t mind. I’m, as Ryan puts it, a sickeningly sweet kind of guy.” He shrugged and laughed softly. “I guess he’s right.” Nodding Peter wrapped his arm around Luke’s shoulder. “So now tell me something awesome about yourself!”

Luke licked his lips and swallowed hard when Peter wrapped his arms around his shoulder. It was true that Luke was okay with being gay, what he wasn’t okay with was touching. He loved having sex and making out but that was just for fun, he’d had his heart broken one too many times and he was now dubious of love. Touching, holding hands, cuddling, that was all too personal. He licked his lips again and tried not to think about it as he spoke, “Something awesome about myself? Like what? Um…I can speak four different languages. Well technically two…or three…? English, obviously. Spanish, Sign Language, and Pig Latin.” Luke smiled and looked at Peter, “What about you? What’s something awesome about you?”
